Caption: Relating to the regulation of transportation protection agreements.
Initially Referred to House Pensions, Investments & Financial Services Committee, chaired by a Republican
Last Referred to Senate Business & Commerce Committee, chaired by a Republican
HB 1094 excludes transportation protection agreements - contracts for transporting deceased individuals - from being classified as insurance. This adjustment removes these agreements from the regulatory scope of the Texas Insurance Code, simplifying their sale and administration.
