Initially Referred to House Transportation Committee, chaired by a Republican
HB 1136 mandates a study by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, with assistance from other agencies, to evaluate current and future parking needs for individuals with disabilities, including disabled veterans. The study will review laws and rules on designated parking, compile citation data, and make legislative recommendations. A report with findings and recommendations is due by December 1, 2026.
