Texas Policy Research Priority #1: TPR Vote Recommendation OPPOSED

HB 1147 establishes a workplace soft skills training pilot program in Cameron County, administered by the Texas Workforce Commission. Participants will engage in a six-week training course covering workplace ethics, communication, leadership, and time management, and receive a certificate upon completion. The program will be evaluated for potential statewide implementation, with a report due by December 1, 2026.
