Texas Policy Research Priority #1: TPR Vote Recommendation OPPOSED

HB 1154 mandates local workforce development boards in certain coastal counties with large populations to establish skilled labor task forces. These task forces will develop strategies to address current and future workforce skills gaps, improve workforce training delivery, assist at-risk youth, and ensure a sufficient labor force for local industries. Findings and recommendations are to be reported biennially.
