Caption: Relating to daylight saving time.
Initially Referred to House State Affairs Committee, chaired by a Republican
Last Referred to Senate State Affairs Committee, chaired by a Republican
HB 1393 establishes daylight saving time as the year-round standard time for Texas, contingent on federal authorization. This law would apply uniformly across regions in Texas currently using central or mountain standard time. If Congress does not authorize this change, the act will not take effect.
