SB 500 enhances access to information in the adoption process by requiring reports on the health, social, educational, and genetic history of a child to be shared within 30 days after the child's permanency plan is updated to include adoption. It also mandates that prospective adoptive parents sign nondisclosure agreements before receiving confidential information, which must be provided within 90 days of request.
