Texas Policy Research Priority #1: TPR Vote Recommendation ENDORSED

SB 530 revises accreditation standards for postsecondary educational institutions and programs in Texas. It removes the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as the exclusive recognized accrediting agency, broadening the definition to include other agencies designated by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The changes affect degree credit requirements and institutional operations related to accreditation.
