Caption: Relating to notice of a meeting held under the open meetings law.
Initially Referred to House Delivery of Government Efficiency Committee, chaired by a Republican

HB 1522 amends the Government Code to adjust requirements for meeting notices under the Open Meetings Act. It increases the notice period for meetings of governmental bodies from 72 hours to at least three business days before the scheduled meeting date. Additionally, if a meeting will involve discussing or adopting a governmental body's budget, the notice must include a physical copy of the proposed budget.
