Caption: Relating to fireworks sales to the public by retail fireworks permit holders in certain counties.
Initially Referred to House S/C on County & Regional Government Committee, chaired by a Republican

HB 1629 expands the permissible distance for fireworks sales by retail permit holders from 100 to 150 miles from the Texas-Mexico border during the May 1 to May 5 sales period, provided the commissioners court of the county approves such sales. It aims to increase accessibility for consumers in border areas.
