Caption: Relating to an application for a permit for the transfer of groundwater out of a groundwater conservation district.
Initially Referred to House Natural Resources Committee, chaired by a Republican
Last Referred to Senate Water, Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, chaired by a Republican
HB 1690 requires groundwater conservation districts to provide certified mail notices and publicize applications for permits to transfer groundwater out of the district. Applicants must bear the cost of these notices, which must be sent to adjacent districts and relevant county commissioners and published in local newspapers.
