HB 1695 addresses the relocation and ownership of commercial signs affected by public projects, such as highway construction or public infrastructure improvements. The bill allows sign owners to relocate their structures to permissible locations at their own expense and establishes that ownership rights of lawfully erected signs remain vested with the owners even if the signs no longer comply with current regulations.
