Caption: Relating to the eligibility of certain contract employees to provide services to a public school and access to the registry of persons who are not eligible for employment at public schools. SB 571 expands eligibility requirements and access protocols for contract employees providing services to public schools. The bill adjusts standards for criminal background checks and the disqualification of individuals based on prior misconduct. It also broadens access to the registry of persons ineligible for school employment, allowing private entities that contract with schools to use this tool to ensure safety and compliance.
