Caption: Relating to a study by the General Land Office regarding veterans cemeteries in this state.

Last Referred to Senate Veteran Affairs Committee, chaired by a Republican
HB 1875 requires the General Land Office, in coordination with the Texas Veterans Commission, to study obstacles faced by veterans in accessing burial plots in veterans cemeteries and to evaluate operational needs of these cemeteries. A report summarizing the findings and recommendations must be submitted to state leadership by April 1, 2026. The act expires on September 1, 2027
