Caption: Relating to the accrual of a cause of action for purposes of certain laws governing certain construction liability claims.

HB 1922 amends Chapter 2272 of the Government Code to establish that, for construction liability claims governed by this chapter, the accrual of a cause of action occurs on the date the required report is postmarked by the United States Postal Service. This rule is limited to the scope of this chapter and does not affect other determinations of accrual, such as insurance policy occurrences or statutes of limitations or repose.
