Texas Policy Research Priority #1: TPR Vote Recommendation OPPOSED

SB 769 mandates the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to prepare and submit a report to the Texas Legislature by September 1, 2026, detailing enrollment and success rates for students with disabilities in higher education. The report will cover data on enrollment figures, barriers to access, institutional policies that aid student success, accessibility of services and accommodations, adequacy of informational resources for students on their rights, and recommendations for legislative or institutional action. Institutions of higher education will provide relevant data to THECB as needed. The reporting requirement expires on September 1, 2027.
