SJR 37 proposes a constitutional amendment to clarify that only United States citizens are eligible to vote in Texas elections. The amendment modifies Section 1(a), Article VI of the Texas Constitution to explicitly prohibit non-citizens from voting. The proposed amendment will be submitted to voters for approval in an election scheduled for November 4, 2025.
