HB 2070 seeks to revise the criteria for adding individuals to the Texas central child abuse or neglect registry. It stipulates that a person's name may only be included in the registry if a court of competent jurisdiction issues a final order confirming the individual's involvement in abuse or neglect. This change applies to findings made by the Department of Family and Protective Services on or after the bill's effective date.
