SB 906 amends Article 2A.003(a) of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure to authorize the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo tribal council to employ and commission peace officers. This change grants the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo the same authority as the Alabama-Coushatta and Kickapoo Traditional tribes to commission peace officers who can enforce state law within the tribe's reservation.
