Texas Policy Research Priority #1: TPR Vote Recommendation OPPOSED

HB 2176 amends the Government Code to modify the composition and duties of court security committees. It requires that these committees include representatives from the sheriff's office, constable offices, the county commissioners court, and other relevant entities. The bill mandates that court security committees meet at least once a year to develop and submit recommendations on courthouse security expenditures but does not grant them authority over resource allocation.
