Initially Referred to House Trade, Workforce & Economic Development Committee, chaired by a Republican
Last Referred to Senate Economic Development Committee, chaired by a Republican
HB 2294 modifies reimbursement rates for child-care providers participating in the Texas Rising Star Program. It allows local workforce boards to reimburse providers at the highest rate available for their rating level, regardless of the provider's published rates, as long as it does not negatively impact the commission's target number of children served per day in subsidized child care programs.
