SB 1029 allows motor vehicle dealers to advertise specific used vehicles that they do not currently have in their possession. The advertisement must clearly disclose that the vehicle is not in the dealer's possession, state that the vehicle can be obtained within a reasonable time from a manufacturer or distributor, and include the vehicle identification number (VIN) if a price is advertised. This change aims to provide dealers with greater flexibility while ensuring transparency for consumers.
