Caption: Relating to the compensation and benefits for certain peace officers commissioned by the state fire marshal.

HB 2467 improves compensation and benefits for certain peace officers commissioned by the State Fire Marshal's Office. The bill classifies these officers under Schedule C of the state's salary classification schedule, aligning their pay with other commissioned law enforcement officers in Texas. It also grants them eligibility for hazardous duty pay and other benefits available to peace officers under the Government Code
