Texas Policy Research Priority #1: TPR Vote Recommendation ENDORSED

HB 2468 strengthens real estate disclosure requirements related to Public Improvement Districts (PIDs). If a seller fails to provide a buyer with notice that a property is located in a PID, the buyer is entitled to terminate the purchase contract within seven days of receiving the required notice. However, this termination right only applies if the municipality or county properly filed the PID service plan with the county clerk before the contract date.
