HB 2546 expands the eligibility criteria for school buses that can be replaced under the Texas Clean School Bus Program. It updates the program's standards to allow grants for replacing school buses from model years 2010 or earlier rather than the previous 2006 or earlier limit. This change aims to accelerate the retirement of older, higher-emission diesel buses and improve air quality.
