Caption: Relating to the age of wine authorized to be sold by a wine collection seller.
Initially Referred to Senate State Affairs Committee, chaired by a Republican
Last Referred to House Licensing & Administrative Procedures Committee, chaired by a Republican

Texas Policy Research Priority #1: TPR Vote Recommendation ENDORSED

SB 1184 reduces the minimum age of wine that a wine collection seller may sell to a permitted restaurant from 20 years to 10 years. The bill amends the Alcoholic Beverage Code to reflect this change while maintaining existing requirements that the wine must be lawfully owned, in its original container, and sealed by the manufacturer. This adjustment allows restaurants greater access to vintage wine collections for resale to customers.
