HB 2658 revises governance and financial management provisions for the Kimble County Hospital District. It reduces the residency requirement for board members from two years to one year, removes the requirement that directors be qualified property tax-paying voters, and eliminates the bond requirement for board members. The bill expands the district's authority to operate assisted living facilities, skilled nursing centers, and community health clinics. It also allows the board to delegate budget preparation duties, amend the budget as needed, and extend the term of the district's depository bank contracts from two years to five years.
