Initially Referred to House Public Education Committee, chaired by a Republican

HB 2674 prohibits any state education agency, including the Texas Education Agency, the State Board of Education, or any public educational institution, from enacting rules or policies that would increase regulation on homeschool programs. The bill explicitly ensures that homeschooling remains free from additional state oversight or administrative requirements. These provisions will apply beginning with the 2025-2026 school year.
