HB 2725 expands toll road discount programs to include paramedics, peace officers, and firefighters. Currently, toll project entities must offer free or discounted use of toll roads for vehicles registered to certain veterans. This bill extends eligibility to emergency responders by requiring toll agencies to provide similar discounts for vehicles registered to paramedics, peace officers, or firefighters. The bill applies to toll discount programs implemented on or after September 1, 2025.
