SB 1255 modifies the regulation of mold assessors and remediators under the Texas Occupations Code. It updates the definition of mold to exclude mycotoxins, expands exemptions from mold licensing requirements for certain professions - including pest control inspections and post-disaster demolition - and clarifies the advisory board's role in recommending standards for licensing and performance.
