HB 2785 requires the Texas Secretary of State's website to display a message at the end of an online voter registration application informing applicants that completing the application does not constitute official voter registration. The website must also require applicants to electronically acknowledge that their registration will only be valid once submitted to the appropriate voter registrar. The message must be formatted in a way that prevents further interaction with the webpage until the applicant executes the acknowledgment.
