HB 3017 imposes an additional franchise tax on solar and wind energy producers with a capacity greater than 1 megawatt. The tax is equal to the total value of any federal subsidies, tax credits, or other federal benefits received by the entity during the reporting period. The bill also requires solar and wind producers to file reports disclosing these benefits, regardless of any exemptions that would otherwise apply.
