Caption: Relating to measures to support the enrollment of students with a nontraditional secondary education at public institutions of higher education, including eligibility for certain student financial assistance programs.
Initially Referred to House Higher Education Committee, chaired by a Republican

HB 3041 improves higher education accessibility for nontraditional students. It requires universities to assign a class rank to applicants who completed nontraditional secondary education by using standardized test scores. The bill also expands eligibility for TEXAS Grants and other financial aid programs to include nontraditional high school graduates.
