Last Referred to Senate Local Government Committee, chaired by a Republican
HB 3093 changes ad valorem property tax calculations for years when a property owner notifies an appraisal district of an intent to appeal an appraisal review board decision. The bill introduces new definitions for contested and uncontested taxable values and ensures that only uncontested values are used for tax rate calculations in certain cases.
