Caption: Relating to the issuance of specialty license plates for retired firefighters.

HB 3135 directs the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles to issue specialty license plates for retired firefighters at no cost. Eligibility includes both volunteer and career firefighters who were previously certified by either the Texas Commission on Fire Protection or the State Firefighters' and Fire Marshals' Association of Texas.
