Caption: Relating to a study and report by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board regarding health physics education in this state.

SB 1534 requires the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, in partnership with the Texas Workforce Commission, to conduct a study on health physics education programs. The study will assess workforce needs in nuclear energy and radiological safety and identify gaps in training programs at Texas colleges and universities. A final report is due by December 1, 2026, and the bill expires on September 1, 2027.
