Caption: Relating to the applicability of certain laws affecting indemnification agreements to certain contracts or agreements pertaining to electric utility infrastructure.

HB 3306 modifies the Insurance Code to clarify that certain indemnification provisions related to electric utility infrastructure projects are not subject to existing restrictions on indemnity agreements in construction contracts. The bill specifically excludes contracts involving the installation or maintenance of electric infrastructure or vegetation management for electric utilities from these limitations. This change applies to contracts entered into on or after September 1, 2025.
