Caption: Relating to notice provided to certain public drinking water supply systems before water quality testing.

SB 1662 requires the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to provide notice up to 24 hours in advance before conducting water quality testing at public drinking water supply systems that obtain their water from underground sources. The notice applies when the commission is investigating a complaint regarding water quality. This bill aims to improve communication between regulatory agencies and public water suppliers.
