HB 3466 revises Texas' consumer transaction laws to expand cancellation rights for certain services. It amends the Business & Commerce Code to exclude from cancellation regulations services that are cancellable by the consumer at any time, as long as the right to cancel is provided in writing. This change clarifies that certain consumer service contracts, such as month-to-month subscriptions, will not be subject to state-imposed cancellation rules if they allow for cancellation at any time.
