Caption: Relating to the authority of a Special Utility District to issue revenue bonds.
Initially Referred to House Natural Resources Committee, chaired by a Republican
Last Referred to Senate Local Government Committee, chaired by a Republican
HB 3483 exempts Special Utility Districts (SUDs) from certain regulatory requirements under the Texas Water Code when issuing revenue bonds. Specifically, it removes the applicability of Sections 49.181 and 49.182, which govern bond review and approval processes for water districts. This change gives SUDs more flexibility in financing water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
