HB 3512 mandates artificial intelligence (AI) training for state and local government employees, expanding existing cybersecurity training requirements. It amends multiple sections of the Government Code and Education Code to require AI training for employees who use computers for at least 25% of their duties. It also establishes certification standards for AI training programs and ties grant eligibility for local governments to compliance with these training requirements.
