Caption: Relating to the availability of certain working papers and electronic communications of certain administrative law judges and technical examiners under the public information law.

HB 3516 amends Section 552.144 of the Government Code to exempt certain working papers and electronic communications of administrative law judges and technical examiners from public information disclosure requirements. Specifically, it excludes notes, electronic communications, and drafts related to their observations, thoughts, deliberations, and decision-making processes at the State Office of Administrative Hearings and the Railroad Commission of Texas. The bill applies only to public information requests received on or after its effective date
