Caption: Relating to authorizing certain counties to impose a hotel occupancy tax and the use of revenue from that tax.

HB 3567 authorizes counties with populations over 125,000 that border the Red River to impose a hotel occupancy tax of up to 2%. The tax revenue may be used for tourism-related projects such as sporting events, amphitheaters, cultural initiatives, and grants for local arts organizations. The authorization expires on September 1, 2030.
