HB 3658 enhances continuing education requirements for insurance adjusters by mandating at least one hour of training per licensing period on state and local building codes. The training must cover damage assessment, claim adjustment, policy coverage interpretations related to building codes, and mitigation and reconstruction standards applicable to insured losses. The Texas Department of Insurance will oversee the development or certification of these courses and ensure their availability in multiple formats, including classroom instruction, online learning, and self-paced study.
