SB 1877 expands the Office of Public Utility Counsel's access to electricity market data, allowing it to request and receive information related to market reliability, transmission planning, and resource adequacy from the Public Utility Commission (PUC), ERCOT, and electric utilities. It also clarifies that confidential data remains protected from disclosure.
