Last Referred to House Natural Resources Committee, chaired by a Republican
SB 1967 expands the types of projects eligible for funding under the Texas Flood Infrastructure Fund. It allows for multi-purpose flood mitigation projects that capture and treat floodwater, stormwater, or wastewater effluent for reuse as an additional water supply source. The bill also adds nature-based flood control solutions to the list of eligible projects.
