Caption: Relating to providing notice of a vehicle towed to a vehicle storage facility by publication on a third-party Internet website. HB 3928 allows notices regarding towed vehicles to be published on third-party internet websites approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). Currently, storage facilities must publish these notices in a newspaper of general circulation if the vehicle's owner or lienholder cannot be identified. The bill expands the options to include an online platform, making it easier for owners to locate their towed vehicles. Additionally, TDLR must provide a link to the approved third-party websites on its own webpage.
