This bill would cost taxpayers $4,450,000.00 over five years, according to the Legislative Budget Bureau.
HB 3993 increases the tax rates on vinous liquor. The bill raises the alcohol percentage threshold for taxation, imposing a 20.4 cents per gallon tax on wine containing up to 16% alcohol (previously 14%) and a 40.8 cents per gallon tax on wine containing more than 16% alcohol.
