Texas Policy Research Priority #1: TPR Vote Recommendation OPPOSED

SB 2023 seeks to establish a grant program administered by the Health and Human Services Commission to assist counties in covering costs associated with the disposition of deceased paupers' bodies. The program would create a dedicated funding account in the general revenue fund, sourced from legislative appropriations, gifts, grants, and earned interest.
