Caption: Relating to the storage or disposal of high-level radioactive waste.
Initially Referred to House Environmental Regulation Committee, chaired by a Republican
Last Referred to Senate Natural Resources Committee, chaired by a Republican
HB 4112 prohibits the issuance of certain environmental permits for the construction or operation of facilities licensed for the disposal or storage of high-level radioactive waste. The prohibition applies unless the facility is located at the site of an existing or former nuclear power reactor or a university-operated nuclear research reactor.
