Caption: Relating to the use of videography in relation to certain court proceedings.
Initially Referred to House Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence Committee, chaired by a Republican
HB 4139 establishes rules governing the use of videography in court proceedings. It prohibits video recordings during jury selection, in cases involving minors as victims of certain crimes, and in cases involving adult victims of sexual assault or family violence unless the victim consents. Exceptions are made for official court operations, security purposes, and legally admissible forensic interviews.
